Just uploadin' some old oekaki made in 2010.
Do you think it could have been Claus *complete* ciborg form? We have a nice deleted sprite that show him and an other that show a transformation scene reminescent of Darth Vader.
Also, maybe it was part of Lucas nightmare, in which maybe he feared that his brother would not be himself anymore.
Well in both cases, this could have been REALLY disturbing on a complete 3D game. Imagine the mushrooms scene, where you encounter many Claus and your father, juts plain scary.
